Is now the right time to buy?

Well, I don’t know. Are you looking for a pied-a-terre?
Some place you can stay in the city while you’re working and then get out of town on the weekends? Or maybe a pied-a-terre where you can have fun in the City but you don’t have to be here all the time? Are you renting right now and you’re sick and tired of paying your landlord’s mortgage? Do you wanna grow your own net worth? Build your own equity by owning your own place?

Maybe now is the right time for you to buy. 

Something you may or may not know, we actually hit our peak in the market in New York City at the end of 2015, early 2016. Around that time we had about 3,900-4,000 units on the market for inventory for all of Manhattan. Since then, it’s been coming down and in October of 2020 we hit our bottom of the market so we
had about 9,600 units on the market, so tons and tons and tons of inventory.

Interest rates are historically low 

however they may go up so right now is kind of the perfect storm for buyers to buy. We’re not at 9,600 units any more but prices haven’t started to climb at a huge pace yet but they will.

We also know that we had a stop in building a few years ago when we had that financial crisis and there’s going to come a time where we don’t have a lot of inventory coming on and we’re not there yet.
